A: At Head Start, we encourage all parents to to take an active role in their child's life. You can do this by volunteering in your child’s classroom and help the teacher work one-on-one with children or help with a small group of children. Help set up breakfast and lunch, read to the children, help children with their colors, shapes, numbers and alphabet. You can help children learn continuously throughout the day even when they are standing in line waiting to go outside.
You may also participate in:

Involving yourself in your child’s education gives them the “extra” boost to success in school and life.
